IT services company Atos has been awarded a new five-year contract by ISS, a provider of facility services, to implement its cloud offering Atos Sphere.

It will also implement its desktop offering, Adaptive Workplace, to migrate all existing services from an on-site data centre to a fully virtualised platform.

Atos will manage all IT services and infrastructure for the UK business of ISS.

The deal is expected to deliver significant cost savings to ISS while increasing flexibility and improving resilience and a better user experience.

ISS IT director Mark Brown said they chose Atos because the company demonstrated an excellent knowledge and understanding of their business and presented a standardised cloud offering that has the flexibility to adapt rapidly to changing business requirements while reducing our overall IT costs.

Atos UK CEO Keith Wilman said the deal underscores the commercial advantages for their clients of investments in key services including Atos Sphere – their cloud solution and Adaptive Workplace.
