Apple has released iTunes 11, the latest desktop version of iTunes music player after month delay with redesigned interface.
Originally slated for a release in October 2012, the new version of iTunes will eliminate the sidebar-based navigation found in earlier iTunes versions and moves to a tab-like interface.
Users can now switch between different types of content like Music, Films, TV Shows/ TV programmes and Apps via a drop-down on the top left.
Other features include deeper integration with Apple’s iCloud service, a new "up next" song feature, redesigned storefronts and an upgraded mini player that lets user search for songs, albums and artists without going back to the full view.
iTunes 11, which is available on Apple’s website or via Apple Software Update on user Mac/ PC finally, brings the new App Store interface that debuted on iOS a while back.
The new version integrates Cloud to resume playback of a podcast, audiobook or video where user left-off across various devices without having to sync them first.
In addition, the new version includes Facebook integration and the ability to preview songs while browsing. It will also enable users to queue whichever song they want to play next.
