Accenture is acquiring S3 TV Technology, as the consultancy expands its video operations.

S3 TV Technology, a business unit of the Dublin headquartered S3 Group, will have its technology StormTest, integrated into Accenture’s Digital Video Services.

The goal of the acquisition is for Accenture to strengthen its capabilities in order to help video businesses to create products that can access linear content through broadband and broadcast networks as well as non-linear services such as catch-up TV and video on demand through broadband networks.

The services will be integrated with DevOps capabilities in order to aid with a more agile and continuous approach to product development.

Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
