Close Brothers invest in new execs to drive tech division

Tech experts come in to launch new business.

Close Brothers has today announced the arrival of two new executives.

Ian McVicar and John Drake join with the the task of establishing the firm’s new technology services businesses, Close Brothers Technology Services, which will sit within the Close Brothers Leasing & Rentals division.

Both McVicar and Drake are leaving Lombard Technology, where they have served as managing director and finance director respectively.

Neil Davies, chief executive of Close Brothers Leasing and Rentals commented:

"The appointment of Ian and John and the launch of our new technology services division marks a major milestone for our business. By helping companies understand the true cost of their technology, Close Brothers Technology Services will be instrumental in helping reduce their IT expenditure, boost efficiency and improve control to deliver more sustainable solutions."

Both McVicar and Drake are leaving Lombard Technology, where they have served as of managing director and finance director respectively.

Close Brothers has £10.6bn worth of assets under management.
