Melville, New York-based Chyron Corp has completed its long- cooking acquisition of Reading, UK-based Pro-Bel Ltd, a privately-owned manufacturer and distributor of video signal switching equipment and systems. It paid $21.4m, $6.9m in cash, $5.3m in notes and 3.1 m restricted Chyron shares. Founded in 1977, Pro-Bel provides signal management and related hardware, station automation software; and media management and control software to broadcast and production facilities and communications companies across the world. For the year to October 31, Pro-Bel Ltd reported revenues $27.2m, with operating profits of $2.1m.
