British Telecommunications Plc has paid UKP1.8m for a 12% stake in Telehouse International Corp of Europe Ltd, AT&T Co $3.58m for an 11.9% stake in Telehouse International Corp of America Inc, both companies being affiliates of Japan’s international carrier Kokusai Denshin Denwa Co formed to offer computer and communications services on their own hardware. KDD has 33% of the European, 25% of the US firm; Nomura Research holds 23% and 20%.
