Borland International Inc has spun off its US channel sales and marketing organization as an independent company. The new entity, called Frontline Now! will have the exclusive rights to market Borland’s development tools to distributors and resellers in the company’s US sales channel. It will also look to forge marketing relationships with other software and hardware vendors, mostly focusing on business applications and productivity and utility products. The move comes as part of Borland’s ongoing move toward direct sales of client/server and enterprise products to the corporate market. Those products now account for about half of Borland’s revenue. Frontline currently employs 40 people and is based in Scotts Valley, California.
