As many iPhone users work on the go, it is always essential to be able to access work files or communicate with colleagues straight from your phone.

With many different apps embedded across iPhone 6s in particular, some are better than others in terms of security and other added features.

CBR lists 5 of the best iPhone 6s apps for workers on the go.


Shift Worker

Shift Worker is an iPhone calendar app made specifically for shift workers. The app allows users to organise shifts with icons and characters in order to easily identify them at a glance.

Users are also able to add notes and organise them to be merged with dates and colours on the calendar.

Other features on the app include the option to create an unlimited amount of shift types, shift rotations to fill in future dates automatically and also the option to view the calendar in timeline format.



Microsoft’s OneNote app for IOS is designed to integrate with Microsoft Office’s desktop version. All inputs in the app are automatically synced across the cloud storage platform so all notes can be accessed on any desktop computer.

The app is formed like a digital notebook to enable users to organise everything across their devices.

OneNoteNotes can also be shared with colleagues, family and friends for the ability to gain multiple access to edit notes and see changes in real-time.

One of the features provides the option to send websites, documents and more to OneNote using Share Charm, Microsoft Edge, Clipper, Office Lens and various other apps.

What about Slack and Google?


GoToMeeting is a video conferencing app designed by Citrix. It allows users to host virtual meetings with up to 25 attendees from around the world with any web-connected device.

This includes a built-in invitation system to streamline the process of scheduling a meeting, with the option to share keyboard and mouse controls with other attendees to collaborate on a project from anywhere.

GoToMeetingIt allows users to join live GoToMeeting or GoToWebinar online sessions free of charge, also providing IOS users with the option to host meetings.

The presenter/ host of the meeting are able to share their screen and content with attendees from the cloud, browser or whiteboard.



Slack is a business instant messaging app, which is automatically encrypted to ensure private messages are not leaked.

The app enables users to communicate with team members, organising conversations by topics, projects and more. This can be done via text and voice messaging.

SlackUsers are able to share and edit documents, integrating a workflow with user-friendly services such as Google Drive, Salesforce, Dropbox, Twitter, Zendesk and more.

All conversations are synced across devices to give users the opportunity to chat from either phone device or desktop PC.


Google Sheets

Google Sheets is an app that allows users to access spreadsheets from all iPhone, iPad or iPod devices. Users are able to create, edit and collaborate spreadsheets to share with others.

Google ScreenIt also enables users to open, edit and save Microsoft Excel files and can be accessed from anywhere without the need for internet connection to access.

With everything automatically saved as data is inputted, all spreadsheets are secure for users on the go that may worry about losing files.

All users are able to set up a 4-digit passcode for the app which protects all private and confidential work files.
