It is based on the LiMo Foundation, an industry consortium for the development of open, hardware-independent, Linux-based operating systems for mobile devices.

The company said the platform offers a suite of mobile applications either plug-in or pre-integrated that will enable handset manufacturers and operators to build customized services.
