Apple Mac sales hit 2-year low

News: Analysts still predict company's overall PC market share to have grown in Q3.

Apple Mac sales have reportedly slowed to the lowest rate since 2013.

Analysts at IDC said shipments of the devices have shrank 3.4% yoy, while Gartner said sales have grown 1.5% in the same period, still representing the slowest growth rate for Apple since Q3 2013.

Gartner and IDC predict Apple to have shipped 5.6 million and 5.3 million units respectively in Q3 this year.

According to IDC, Apple has performed better than the overall PC market which has shipped 71 million units, a fall of 10.8%.

Gartner said that Apple’s PC market share this quarter has grown from 6.9% last year to 7.6% in 2015.
