Accenture has introduced an intelligent automation platform for application services that provides human technology workers with better productivity and insights to enhance business performance.

The platform, Accenture myWizard, augments human technologists with virtual agents powered by artificial intelligence.

It helps humans and machines reach their exponential potential in application services. The platform currently includes several intelligent virtual agents that use machine learning to collaborate with their human co-workers.

The platform brings together various Accenture industry assets such as intelligent and analytics tools and methods, as well as tools from across the company’s alliance partner ecosystem.

Through Accenture myWizard, organisations are claimed to become up to 60% more productive with the automation of task-related work. It allows them to focus on more strategic work.

Several virtual agents of the platform leverage machine learning to partner with human co-workers in managing projects.

Among the various virtual agents, the Virtual scrum master agent monitors several aspects of Agile development projects, Accenture said.

The Virtual testing advisor agent provides advice to human testers on a range of judgement-based tasks, including test planning, test coverage, prioritisation, and staffing.

The Intelligent Data Scientist helps find data patterns and mines programme information to offer IT and business users with the ability to make more insight-based decisions.

Accenture Technology Services group chief executive Bhaskar Ghosh said: "IT organisations and leaders are under intense pressure to operate with greater speed and manage increasing complexity – challenges that cannot be sustainably addressed by simply increasing headcount.

"We need to enable people to do more with technology, to achieve greater speed and scale. That’s why we believe intelligent automation is the essential co-worker for the digital age.

"Accenture myWizard supports our people-first automation strategy by helping humans do more complex and creative problem-solving."

Accenture myWizard has been deployed to over 100 clients worldwide in the past six months.

About 3,000 professionals are being trained in Accenture myWizard and the company plans to install the intelligent automation platform to over 200 clients by the end of this August.
