The Bangalore, India-based firm Silicon Automation Systems Ltd has picked up minority stakes in two startup firms in the US, Ambient Technologies Inc and another undisclosed firm, both based in Fremont, California. The firm is targeting more such deals in future. SAS offers tools and services for the design of semiconductors, telecommunications, computing and networking equipment. It has 350 employees and marketing offices in Japan and United States as well as its development center in India.
