PTC and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) have come together to deliver converged IoT solutions. This will include PTC ThingWorx software and HPE Edgeline Systems.
The collaboration will focus on industrial use cases and will aim to generate the availability of a pre-tested hardware and software combination. This hopes to enable customers to solve IoT data management problems and make decisions from sensor data more effectively.
The planned collaboration between the two companies will demonstrate complete hardware and software technologies specifically designed for IoT edge computing and smart, connected solutions. This is to include sensors, edge compute, real-time edge analytics, machine learning and augmented reality.
Andrew Timm, Chief technology officer, PTC said: “Companies working together to solve industry challenges is the fastest way to accelerate IoT innovation and bring about meaningful business value.”
PTC and HPE will demonstrate the latest example of the combined solution at IoT Solutions World Congress 2016 from October 25 to October 27 in Barcelona, Spain.
The demonstration follows on from the technologies that are currently being featured at HPE’s IoT innovation lab in Houston, Texas and at various industry events, similar to PTC’s LiveWorx event.
Dr. Tom Bradicich, VP and GM, Servers and IoT Solutions at Hewlett Packard Enterprise said: “The IoT promises access to immense amounts of pent up data which hold great insights that enable customers to accelerate business, engineering and scientific outcomes.
“The HPE Edgeline Converged IoT Systems, coupled with Aruba connectivity and PYC’s leading technologies are a strong combination for unleashing these data and insights for our customers.”
National Instruments particularly, joined HPE and other IoT technology leaders earlier this year to collaborate with PTC in plans to optimise the performance of its ThingWorx platform.
