General Automation Inc says it is expanding its technology and distribution relationship with Pick Systems Inc, Irvine, California: the General will extend its R91 Pick-based relational database for Motorola Inc 68000-based systems to include all Motorola, Intel Corp and PowerPC systems, and has been appointed as a worldwide master distributor for Pick Systems’ Advanced Pick operating system; it also joined forces with Unidata Inc of Denver to unveil the GA-Advantix 2.0 database engine that will enable Pick users to run their current Pick applications unmodified on a variety of Unix systems – it integrates advanced Pick-on-Unix database with the General’s R91 Enhanced Pick Application Environment.
