UBS, the Swiss banking firm will open a tech lab to explore how Blockchain, the technology behind Bitcoin, can be used in the financial markets.
The lab will test the potential for Blockchain to be used to for the processing of a range of financial transactions in different markets and across asset classes. .
Other applications such as data analytics and risk assessment will be explored.
