SL Corp, a provider of monitoring, analytics and visualisation software, has released a new version of RTView for APM|BW Monitor, which includes performance enhancements enabling users to scale to hundreds of Tibco ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks engines, user-defined filters to view only data that is relevant to a particular service, application or domain; and expanded support for Unix platforms.
The company claims that BW Monitor is an out-of-the-box monitoring and management offering that enables BusinessWorks (BW) users to save both time and money on troubleshooting and optimising BW implementations. It provides users with early warning of issues and leverage deep analytics to diagnose and resolve issues relating to BW servers and engines.
SL said that it has been able to speed the start-up process as well as the acquisition of data in large deployments of BusinessWorks, resulting in improved performance of the overall monitoring offering.
According to SL Corp, the new user-configurable named filters allow users to define custom filters for BW servers, engines, processes and activities so that summary displays can present data specific to a particular service, application or domain. BW Monitor has also expanded support for BW engines running on HP-UX, Solaris and Linux servers and has added support for deploying the BW Monitor Viewer in Unix-based desktop environments.
BW Monitor provides early warning of issues, comparison of real-time performance information across multiple BW engines, servers, processes and activities and ready access to deep analytics.
In addition, tracking of historical trend information enables more efficient provisioning, capacity planning and overall optimization of BW implementations, the company said.
