SimpliVity has reported a 250% year-over-year increase in bookings sales with growth in demand for hyperconverged infrastructure.

The company now has around 550 customers who have deployed over 2,000 hyperconverged infrastructure systems.

SimpliVity said demand for its solution with Cisco UCS continues to increase, with an increase in the number of agreements signed this quarter.

The company also added that 50% of its total sales have come from outside the US. SimpliVity opened two new support centres in Cork, Ireland and Raleigh, North Carolina to support the demand.

SimpliVity is also on a hiring spree, adding around 10 new people per week. The company now has over 550 employees.

In March this year, Simplivity raised $175m in series D financing at a valuation of over $1bn.

SimpliVity CEO Doron Kempel said: "As companies increasingly investigate the benefits of hyperconvergence, they quickly realise the difference between basic convergence of storage and compute resources with SimpliVity’s revolutionary innovation of virtualising all IT below the hypervisor into simple 2U building blocks of x86 sharable resources.

"In just two years of shipping product, the market has been overwhelmingly receptive to the groundbreaking concept. We are at the beginning of a paradigm shift in IT infrastructure as progressive IT leaders see the opportunity to dramatically simplify their environments and focus on driving business performance."
