Sage (UK), a provider of business management software and services, has launched Sage ERP 1000 version 3.0, which has been specifically designed to address the issues facing mid-size organisations in the UK and Ireland.

The company claimed that its business management system provides a complete and joined-up view of a company’s total operations and gives customers the freedom to choose and customise the capabilities they need. It features report designer, user-friendly interface and embedded business intelligence, and offers rich functionality in finance, sales, inventory management, purchasing, manufacturing and service delivery.

Sage said that its ERP 1000 suite’s updated screen designer and actionable list views improve business insights and enables users to find accurate information and act upon it within a single screen view. With the browser-based interface, the suite minimises the need for systems administrators to manage desktop applications and reduces the overhead of IT support.

Bob Anderson, general manager of enterprise business at Sage, said: "Unlike many enterprise software providers that have scaled down their solutions for the mid-market, the Sage ERP 1000 suite has been developed for mid-market organisations from day one and has been designed with British businesses firmly in mind."
