PI System and real-time data and events infrastructure offerings provider OSIsoft has introduced PI Coresight and PI Server 2010 R3.

PI Coresight is a web-based product that can visualise and analyse PI System data from web-enabled devices and it requires only a limited amount of training and expedites the process of building displays to provide users with more time to view and analyse data.

The PI Coresight is designed for ad hoc analysis of PI System data and gives users complete flexibility when analysing data by providing dynamic transitions between gauges, trends, data values, tables or bars.

In addition, OSIsoft has also introduced an enhanced version of the PI Server which provides users with a complete infrastructure for the asset centric PI System and it includes the PI AF performance enhancements to provide PI System visualisation tools with a faster search of the asset structure.

Customers using earlier versions of PI AF can easily locate their data with the Search enhancements in PI Server 2010 R3 and the PI Server 2010 R3 includes PI Event Frames, improved performance of PI Data Access products and a new release of PI SDK.

OSIsoft PI Coresight product manager Tom LeBay said PI Coresight delivers on the need for a quick and easy way to analyse PI System data.

"PI Coresight is designed to take full advantage of the PI AF asset structure and OSIsoft believes that the integrated search, easy to use time bar, asset navigation and intuitive user interface are features that our customers will appreciate," said

OSIsoft Marketing vice-president Jon Peterson said the release of PI Coresight and PI Server 2010 R3 provide significant new features and enhancements to PI System users.

"With PI Coresight being web-based and easy to deploy, more users are able to take advantage of the wealth of information and opportunities in the PI System than ever before. OSIsoft will also be able to leverage the extensive PI Server 2010 R3 package to expand usage of the PI System infrastructure. The release of these two products is a demonstration of OSIsoft’s continued commitment to PI System users," said Peterson.
