Netezza, a provider of data warehouse, analytic and monitoring appliances, has unveiled SAS/ACCESS interface engine for the TwinFin data warehouse appliance.
Netezza said that the TwinFin appliance combined with the SAS/ACCESS interface provides an analytics platform to the enterprise by delivery of custom, high-performance connectivity between SAS and Netezza.
According to Netezza, the SAS/ACCESS interface engine for the TwinFin appliance allows customers to treat data as a generally available resource that can be viewed and used by SAS regardless of its format.
The company claims that the Netezza TwinFin family of appliances are built specifically to analyse petabytes of detailed data faster than existing data warehouse options, at a much lower total cost of ownership. SAS/ACCESS for the Netezza TwinFin appliance offers direct secure access, improved connection performance and reduced data traffic on the network.
