Remote access seller LogMeIn has added integration with Dropbox and Google Docs to its Ignition for iPad/iPhone app.
The app enables users to remotely access and control computers, either Macs or Window-based PCs, via an iPhone or iPad, or in fact any device running iOS.
The new update, called My Cloud Bank, adds integration with the increasingly popular cloud services. The company says this will let users access, view, copy and save files in both Dropbox and Google Docs and share them across different computers, devices and online storage services.
"The anywhere, anytime, any device benefits of remote access and cloud services have always been closely aligned," said Andrew Burton, SVP products at LogMeIn. "With the introduction of My Cloud Bank, we’re delivering the best of both worlds, giving users intuitive, single point access to their files wherever they are stored."
"We see it as an important step in expanding the value of remote access and the cloud to all of a user’s digital information – a virtual insurance policy for always having important files at your finger tips," he added.
LogMeIn Ignition runs on Android and Windows devices and Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablet.
Ignition for iPad/iPhone is available on the iTunes App Store for a one-off fee of £20.99, the company said.
