Data integration software provider Informatica has introduced the new release of its cloud-based integration and data quality application, Informatica Cloud Winter 2013.

Powered by integration platform-as-a-service (iPaaS), the new release is claimed to deliver enhanced end-user cloud integration features that extend Informatica Cloud functionality.

Informatica Cloud Winter 2013 will also advance in cloud master data management (MDM), address validation, deliver cloud integration platform enhancements, offer expanded availability of Cloud Connectors and Cloud Integration Templates on the Informatica Marketplace.

The new release introduces an upgraded cloud integration interface to enhance end-user productivity and enable users to search for relevant cloud integration tasks from activity logs and execute new task flows from anywhere within the cloud integration service, the company said.

In addition, users can also aave, create and restart tasks at any step of the cloud integration wizard, access online help, open a support request and interact with the Informatica Cloud Community or watch training videos with a single click, Informatica added.

The new enterprise-class and productivity capabilities include advanced lookup functions with built-in data type transformations, custom integration parameters defined in external files and advanced session control in Cloud Integration Templates.

Informatica Cloud Winter 2013 release allows Informatica Cloud Master Data Management users to clean, standardise and de-duplicate account, person account, opportunity and contact data within the secure Force.com environment in the cloud.

It also guides the MDM customers with a set-up wizard that incorporates predefined best practices and benefit from improved documentation and online help following Informatica’s recent acquisition of Data Scout.

The MDM users can now manage, import and consolidate multiple types of hierarchies directly within Salesforce and choose from the enhanced Informatica matching algorithms or the Salesforce fuzzy string matching algorithm.

Customers who have both Informatica Cloud MDM and Informatica MDM Multi-Domain Edition are now provided with a set of tools to reconcile differences and further improve implementations.

Informatica Cloud Address Validation enables users to validate in real-time records against the Address Doctor library of over 240 countries and territories.

The new application also introduces new Cloud Connectors available on the Informatica Marketplace for faster time-to-value.

Enhanced Cloud Connectivity features of the new release include native SAP Business Application Programming Interface (BAPI) support to synchronize customer and product data between SAP back-office and Salesforce CRM and front-office cloud applications.

It also includes Salesforce Bulk Reader support for both data synchronisation and data replication, support for version 25 of the Salesforce API and NetSuite multiple targets support for optimal General Ledger integration use cases.

The new Cloud Integration Template Marketplace Mall provides access to pre-built, reusable and customisable Cloud Integration Templates from third-parties and Informatica.
