IBM has introduced new cloud service ‘ Blueworks Live offering ‘ that brings together process documentation and social community elements.

The company said that the cloud service adds a new ability to structure and automate ad hoc processes in 90 seconds that businesses currently run over email and attachments.

It enables employees to start improving processes such as new marketing promotional campaigns, employee on-boarding, and sales quote approvals; and facilitates business users to interact with their departmental colleagues and collaborate through a private company work stream, choosing to follow any updates to roles, processes which are updated in Facebook-like stream view.

IBM said that Blueworks Live provides discovery and documentation capabilities for the processes, and facilitates managers and team members to see the status of work in progress via built-in dashboards and reports.

The company has also released a new decision management software, WebSphere Decision Server, that builds on IBM’s decision management portfolio, joining SPSS Decision Management which allows business users to set up data for modeling, providing predictive analytics to business users.

The company is also enabling organisations to detect and react to defined data patterns as they occur said, by combining Business Rules Management technologies with WebSphere Decision Server.

IBM general manager for Application Integration Middleware Marie Wieck said, Blueworks Live opens the door to valuable business user involvement and insight into processes not addressed by business process management tools in the past.
