Fujitsu has established a new data centre in China, the Fujitsu South China Data Centre which is located in the Guangdong High-Tech Service Zone for Financial Institutions.
The Fujitsu South China Data Centre has a floor 12,200 sqm spread across one subterranean floor and four above-ground levels which can house 1,000 servers in full operation.
The centre will provide corporate customers with secure IT systems and services in the China region, especially in southern part of the country.
The new data centre eliminates customers’ dependence on network operators to provide server hosting as well as meet demand for digitisation.
The new data centre will provide customers with co-location and hosting services, managed services, project services and vendor management services and also will act as a back-up location for the Japan-based systems of some companies.
Fujitsu expects by integrating its ETERNUS and PRIMERGY servers and storage systems, as well as cloud-management middleware Orchestrator, the company will provide high-performance cloud services to businesses in the region.
