eXo, the Java user experience platform company, and Jaspersoft, a provider of business intelligence (BI) software, have partnered to enhance enterprise BI integrated with rich social and collaboration features.
eXo claims that its new platform is the first integrated environment for building modern Java applications and can be integrated with Jaspersoft with a simple, free plug-in.
The BI offering Jaspersoft enterprise, can be deployed as either a stand-alone or embedded application, providing web based reports, dashboards, and data analysis capabilities.
Under the partnership, both the companies will bring new tools for extending BI applications with collaboration workspaces and real-time activity streams in a social intranet, or as a gadget that can be added to dashboards.
eXo said that collaboration and BI together deliver: BI events in activity streams that enables users to see relevant information; and a single view analysis of multiple activity streams that allows developers to mashup activity streams from several third-party applications with eXo.
