EPM Live, a provider of SharePoint-based project and work management applications, has released WorkEngine 2010, a project and work management application for the Microsoft SharePoint 2010 platform.
The company said that the WorkEngine was designed to leverage the capabilities of Enterprise Project Management (EPM) and extend the same concepts to all areas of business, whether traditional projects or the others, all within one centralised platform.
Along with EPM, the WorkEngine also offers applications for service management and agile management to meet the requirements of workgroups, methodologies and maturities.
According to EPM Live, the WorkEngine is a SharePoint-based platform delivering multi-tiered offerings that allow users to gain insight across business and enable project and work teams to work more effectively.
The top tier is the central aggregation point for project and work items across your business and each top level site in each of the WorkEngine applications provide executives business insight such as project status, service status, work performance, and risk status in various reporting and dashboard formats, the company said.
The WorkEngine’s EPM application can also leverage Microsoft Project Professional 2010’s new SharePoint sync feature and Microsoft Project Server 2010 for more advanced PPM capabilities.
In addition, it comes with pre-built templates and a set of capabilities to help teams monitor, control and execute on all business items such as projects, programs, applications/products, services and everyday work items and responsibilities, EPM Live said
