XO Communications has unveiled new enhancements to its voice over IP services portfolio that enables enterprises with enhanced distributed locations and IP-based communications networks.
XO Communications said that the new enhancements to VoIP services portfolio, which include XO IP Flex, IP Flex with VPN and SIP, will enhance the communications capabilities of mid-sized and enterprise business customers seeking a single voice and data services provider.
According to XO Communications, the new capabilities include: availability of XO’s VoIP services for multi-location enterprises; a range of interoperable IP-PBX platforms for SIP deployments; and availability of automatic call routing.
The company said that it has also increased the number of IP-PBX interoperability certifications for XO SIP, its SIP trunking platform. These include: Avaya Aura, Communication Manager, Communication Manager Branch Edition, and IP Office; and Cisco Call Manager Express, Unified Communications Manager, and UC500.
Other additions include: Digium AA50, Asterisk Business Edition, and Switchvox; Fonality PBXtra, and trixbox Pro; NEC UNIVERGE SV8100 and UX5000; Sutus Business Central 200; and Toshiba Strata CIX40, CIX100, CIX200, CIX670 and CIX1200.
The company is also offering a new Automatic Call Routing feature that provides a business continuity capability in which incoming calls can be routed to an alternate phone, landline or mobile device during an unplanned event. This is the new addition to XO Business Continuity Solutions.
Earlier, the company unveiled XO Connect, a multi-modal mass notification service that enables customers to deliver urgent communications to large number of recipients simultaneously via telephone, text message or email.
