VCE has announced the introduction of new scale-out products focused on speeding and simplifying the customer journey to the hybrid cloud.

The new VCE Vscale Architecture is a "scale up" and "scale out" architecture which leverages a next-generation converged fabric to interconnect multiple converged infrastructure systems and data center elements. This enables optimised, on-demand resource sharing.

Also unveiled was a family of converged infrastructure systems, dubbed VCE VxBlock systems. The first VxBlock System announced today will offer Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) or VMware NSX as a customer choice for software-defined networking (SDN) functionality. EMC storage and data protection, alongside VMware virtualization and virtualization management will also be offered.

Lastly, a major update to VCE Vision Intelligent Operations was announced. VCE Vision Intelligent Operations 3.0 features expanded capabilities providing provide unified intelligence across multiple VCE converged infrastructure systems – either independent or as part of a Vscale architecture.

"VCE’s approach is unique and differentiated as we focus on understanding the customer problem, integrating new technologies in a high-performance solution supported with a single call. This new set of platforms and solutions represents the first phase of major expansion for the scale and scope of the VCE portfolio and value proposition."

VCE’s said that the new solutions will be made available to customers in the second quarter of 2015 and also revelaed it will be a launch partner for VMware’s forthcoming EVO:Rack hyperscale rig recipe.
