One of the reasons for Tele2’s selection of Comverse is its multi-operator MMSC environment for multiple-country systems and mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs).

According to Comverse, Multimedia Messaging Service Center (MMSC) enables mobile operators to share the same hardware and infrastructure components while enabling service differentiation through application customization. The MVNO configuration provides server utilization to match the needs of multinational groups such as Tele2.

By broadly expanding the role of MMS in applications and promotions, Comverse MMSC can spur distribution of public content and stimulate sharing of personal content, claims the company. Comverse Mobile Internet Gateway can manage growing mobile data traffic for all subscribers and devices, and give operators centralized capabilities: access control, user management and more, said Comverse.

Dror Bin, group president of the Comverse Products Organization at Comverse, said: “Comverse MMSC and Mobile Internet Gateway benefit operators by increasing capacity and laying the groundwork for best services, including music, video, games and mobile commerce.”
