Mike Tobin is one of the UK’s most high profile tech entrepreneurs. And from Saturday July 16th he plans to run 40 marathons in 40 days to raise cash for the Princes Trust.
Mr Tobin is passionate about providing disadvantaged young people with opportunities for a better life.
The epic 1,000 mile plus run will take place over various routes around London. Mr Tobin will be setting off from home each day and with no support staff he will be choosing his routes. Expect to see him crossing London’s bridges regularly over the next 40 days.
On Mr Tobin’s Just giving page, he writes: Many of the young people helped by The Prince’s Trust are in or leaving care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health problems, or they have been in trouble with the law. The Trust’s programmes give vulnerable young people the practical and financial support needed to stabilise their lives, helping develop self-esteem and skills for work.”

We are not sure how he is gathering his distance data – but we believe it involves some type of sports wearable.
