QuamTel, a provider of advanced telecommunications technologies, said that it has completed the acquisition of DataJack, a provider of high speed nationwide 3G mobile broadband services. Under the terms of the acquisition agreement, DataJack will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of QuamTel.

QuamTel said the acquisition of DataJack is a key element in its growth strategy and adds new products and services to its portfolio to meet the requirements of underserved niche markets.

DataJack sells USB modems that offers high speed internet access through 3G wireless network available in more than 250 cities across the continental US. The DataJack modem plugs into a standard USB port on any PC or MAC and can also store up to 8 gigabytes of data, music, images, videos and digital files with an optional 8Gb micro SD card.
