The West of England Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) has deployed Wazoku’s public sector software to test ideas with the hope of improving overall healthcare.
West of England AHSN, which is one of the 15 networks across England launched by the UK government in May 2013, said it would use Wazoku’s Idea Spotlight for Government to capture ideas from its network of 30,000 people.
Staff will be asked to submit ideas in response to any challenges faced by the AHSN. The ideas will then be developed to assess priorities and deploy best practices more efficiently, according to Wazoku.
Deborah Evans, managing director of West of England AHSN, said: "We need to engage a diverse audience from a large geographical area and connect the network together.
"Idea Spotlight for Government is an ideal way to do this – it makes it easy for us to capture and test ideas, promote opportunities and challenges, and engage across organisational, sector and geographic boundaries."
Simon Hill, managing director and founder Wazoku, added: "Improving the actual health and well-being of citizens is a complex challenge but West of England AHSN has shown that it takes the challenge seriously by using the best tools for the job."
Wazoku joined the UK Government’s G-Cloud Framework earlier in 2013 and works with a number of public sector organisations, including Hackney Borough Council, the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) and Department for Education.
