According to Motorola, its expanded portfolio of integrated digital enhanced network technology (iDEN) Push-to-Talk compatible phones address needs in industries, including construction, manufacturing, transportation and fleet management.

The iDEN phones include integrated cameras, speakerphones, Java technology, and offer two-way radio. Motorola also plans to introduce additional iDEN handsets in the coming months, including: Motorola i576, which is expected to enable customers to access the benefits of Push-to-Talk1, as well as Bluetooth wireless technology and GPS1 all in an ultra-rugged form factor.

Recently Motorola has launched i365, which helps business customers get the job done while on the go by enabling push-to-talk (PTT) users to stay in contact with multiple colleagues by using communication services such as push-to-talk, Selective Dynamic Group Call, International Push-to-Talk and MOTOtalk.

The IDEN Push-to-Talk phone i365 is priced at $89.99 with a two-year service agreement and a $50 mail-in-rebate; and Motorola i776, which features a VGA camera and Bluetooth wireless technology, is expected to be available from late 2008 in North America via Sprint, for $79.99 with a two-year service agreement and in South America through NII Holdings.

Rick Gadd, vice president of Motorola mobile devices, said: Our iDEN customers want instant, sub-second, reliable connections, and we are committed to continue offering this unique experience to them. It is the core functionality of iDEN technology that has maintained a loyal base of customers, while also expanding to other key industries and markets.
