Jentro Technologies said that the navigation solution will be marketed as a Berlitz Mobile branded solution, powered by the company, and will provide free turn-by-turn navigation to Bouygues mobile phone subscribers. In addition to free navigation, Berlitz Mobile will also offer local search functionalities and content features like Berlitz’s travel and language guides.

The Berlitz Mobile solution platform will incorporate both Jentro’s turnkey advertising distribution proxy as well as its Zenlet technology platform and be available via the Bouygues WAP portal.

Kate Edwards, CEO of Jentro, said: Our team has been working on a way to deliver pre-packaged solutions to the market that also allow for the flexibility to add content to an existing package, or create a new one, to meet the changing needs of our clients’ customers.

Olivier Laury, contents director of Bouygues Telecom, said: We want to provide our customers mobile services that they can depend on and that will help them in their business and personal life. We trust in the support of a reliable partner like Jentro because of their experience in the mobile application market and their ability to leverage the investment we have in our existing network to enable it to accommodate the demands of our customers for innovative, reliable and high-quality services.
