Huawei, a provider of telecommunications network offerings, has deployed a LTE TDD trial network for China Mobile.

The LTE TDD trail network was deployed at the 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou, which enabled visitors at the Asian Games to enjoy an array of services including: mobile HD (high definition) video conferencing and surveillance and HD video on demand.

In addition, using a portable digital video camera with the LTE TDD module-embedded, members of the media can send real-time high-resolution photos and live broadcast video across the world.

The company said that the network delivers offerings and services, including low carbon and cost efficient LTE TDD base station, based on Huawei’s SingleRAN offering; Evolved Packet Core (EPC); HD video conferencing, mobile HD video surveillance, catch-and-transfer, live broadcast, and HD video on demand (VOD); and E2E service deployment, management, and service guarantee.

Huawei LTE network president Ying Weimin said as the use of data services was at an all-time high around the world, the development and rapidly growing uptake of LTE is in direct response to consumer requirements for faster mobile communication services.
