British mobile operator, EE said that about 318,000 customers have signed up for the 4G mobile service, which was launched in October last year.
EE added that it is on track to meet its target of one million 4G users by the end of this year.
4GEE is currently available in 50 UK towns and cities and the company is planning to cover 98% of the UK population by the end of next year.
The UK’s first 4G network is expected to cover 80 towns and cities as well as about 55% of the UK population by June this year.
EE reported revenue of £1.67bn for the first three months of 2013, down 3.9%, compared to £1.61bn for the same period last year.
Earlier this month, EE said it will be increasing the data speeds across its 4G network in 10 UK cities by this summer.
The expansion in coverage across the UK will mean that approximately four million people will be able to access EE’s superfast mobile internet network.
EE, previously known as Everything Everywhere, is a joint venture between France Telecom and Deutsche Telekom, which was formed in 2010.
