Cloud service provider Chunghwa Telecom has enhanced its ‘hicloud’ Cloud Server Service with the deployment of the Cisco Unified Data Center architecture.
The deployment offers virtual server computing services through a stable, secure and reliable network platform, helping enterprises improve IT system and facility utilisation, and providing computing resources for enterprises.
Cisco Unified Data Center is a component of Cisco CloudVerse, a framework that combines the foundational elements needed to enable organisations to build, manage and connect public, private and hybrid clouds.
The ‘hicloud’ Cloud Server Service provides virtual server space, cloud data security and protection, applications for smart devices and programme access platforms.
Chunghwa Telecom said the its cloud computing plan will serve two objectives:offer end-to-end cloud services to develop new services as well as deliver cloud solutions for private cloud, public cloud and government cloud.
This deployment of Cisco Unified Data Center architecture by Chunghwa Telecom comprises the Cisco Unified Computing System and Cisco Nexus switches.
The new architecture saves server resource usage and equipment maintenance costs, reduces cabling and manpower costs, delivers secure information, enables felixible system deplyoment, solves problems of resource and deployment wastage, and enables centralised network resource usage while lowering operating costs.
Demand for resource access is no longer restricted by location or time; dispersed employees and partners can access resources at any time, addressing employees’ concerns about synchronisation and collaboration.
