Chinese firm ZTE has established a national security network for the Mauritius Police based on its GoTa (Global open Trunking architecture) professional digital trunking and location-based services to provide dispatch and emergency services support.
The whole country will be under the ambit of the Mauritius Police national security, which will be used for faster response and improved coordination between different government departments.
The new network integrates digital trunking, streaming media, video monitoring and location services and is expected to offer high level of security and privacy, fast response, high reliability and multi-service convergence.
For unified dispatching and fast decision-making, an emergency response and dispatch system has been set up, which offers a variety of essential services through a unified platform to promote efficiency and reduce communication costs.
The Mauritius Police Force commissioner DI Rampersad said ZTE’s national security network offering will improve both the efficiency of their administration, and the reaction times and effectiveness of police and related security departments.
The network, which can be used for a wide range of users including for government organisations enables unified command, would enable resource sharing and joint department action, ensuring fast reaction times and coordinated operations of urban and non-urban emergency systems.
