Electronics company Siemens has acquired over 2,000 product licenses for Kaspersky Enterprise Space Security.
Computer security company Kaspersky Lab announced the purchase, saying that the product will provide Siemens with centralised protection of their file and mail servers, workstations and laptops.
The project was implemented with technical support from Antivirus Solutions, one of Kaspersky Lab’s partners.
The Moscow-based security company said that Siemens has branches in 40 cities across Russia and Central Asia and the company’s IT infrastructure is highly distributed.
Due to the large number of workstations and geographically distributed data storage and processing servers, provision of dependable information security becomes a complex task, added Kaspersky.
The company said that Kaspersky Enterprise Space Security ensures reliable protection against all types of modern threats for corporate networks of any scale and complexity.
Kaspersky Lab managing director for Russia Sergey Zemkov said enterprise-level information systems are complex, multi-level structures in which all the components must be protected.
"Kaspersky Enterprise Space Security is a convenient and easily manageable solution which is perfectly designed for creating a single IT security environment and provides reliable protection from all kinds of threats to even the most widely distributed corporate networks," Zemkov said.
Kaspersky Enterprise Space Security is designed to fight malware and protect file and mail servers, workstations, laptops and corporate smartphones. The latest technologies inside the product allow data to be stored securely, yet remain fully accessible to users within the corporate network, said Kaspersky.
Siemens chief information security officer for Russia and Central Asia Alexey Shabanov said to ensure proper operation and protection of the company’s information system is a priority.
"Kaspersky Lab’s solution guarantees that our servers and employees’ workstations are reliably protected, and the latest technologies integrated into the program optimize system resources and the work of our system administrators," Shabanov said.
