Oracle has unveiled new Enterprise Gateway 11g, which help enterprises secure their service-oriented architecture (SOA) deployments on-premise, across domain boundaries or in the cloud.

The Enterprise Gateway, a key component of Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g, secures, accelerates, integrates and routes XML, Web Services and other types of data in a simple, easy-to-use manner to help lower integration costs and reduce deployment risks.

In addition, the new offering helps streamline regulatory compliance through authentication, authorisation and audit capabilities to simplify IT administration complexities.

The offering is also fully integrated and certified with Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g, offers integrations with other Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g products including: SOA Suite 11g, SOA Governance, Identity Management 11g, and Enterprise Manager.

Oracle said that the Enterprise Gateway provides: DMZ-class security for SOA and cloud environments; ultra-fast XML processing; open and standards-based; authentication, authorisation and audit capabilities; SOA & cloud ready; and extensible.

Oracle identity management vice-president Amit Jasuja said with the introduction of the Enterprise Gateway, Oracle is the only SOA and Identity Management vendor to offer comprehensive threat mitigation, identity propagation, secure connectivity and compliance for SOA environments.

"Using Oracle Enterprise Gateway, our customers have enhanced security and flexibility to confidently extend their enterprise datacentre into the Cloud," Jasuja said.
