McAfee, the Japanese subsidiary of McAfee, is teaming up with Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT) East to provide technology to create a mobile security application that will be used on the "Hikari iFrame" tablet, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corporation’s original tablet device.
The McAfee security technology is based on McAfee Mobile Security software, a mobile security suite that combines anti-malware, anti-theft and Web safety features.
The mobile security applications are designed to protect Hikari iFrame users from malware threats and illicit websites that try to steal personal and sensitive information and the service can be downloaded from the "FLET’s Market" when the consumer sets up their device.
McAfee Japan president Jean-Claude Broido said the popularity of mobile devices, such as smartphones, tablets and information terminals like the Hikari iFrame, continues to increase.
"We’re pleased to provide technical cooperation to NTT East to protect Hikari iFrame users. With security technology based on McAfee Mobile Security, Hikari iFrame users will be protected from malware and malicious websites, helping them to safely browse the Web," said Jean-Claude Broido.
