McAfee has launched its security certification programme, which comprises of two "tracks" McAfee Certified Product Specialist track and McAfee Certified Assessment Specialist track.
The new McAfee Certified Product Specialist track enables users of McAfee technologies to demonstrate competency around the installation, configuration and administration of key McAfee products. It supports the McAfee product offerings, and the McAfee Certified Assessment.
The McAfee Certified Assessment Specialist track, developed around the McAfee Foundstone Ultimate Hacking assessment methodology, is designed to provide security practitioners to demonstrate deep technical assessment skills in the area of penetration testing and ethical hacking.
McAfee has also launched global availability of two certification exams which includes The McAfee Certified Product Specialist exam’s focusing on McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (McAfee ePO) platform.
According to the company, on getting passing score on this exam grants the title of McAfee Certified Product Specialist- ePolicy Orchestrator and by passing grants the titles of McAfee Certified Assessment Specialist.
The McAfee Security Certification Program covers both product technologies and security assessment techniques, which give the professionals the ability to validate both "defend" and "attack" competencies.
McAfee senior director of global education services Ray Komar said earning a McAfee Certified Product Specialist or a McAfee Certified Assessment Specialist Certification enables IT professionals stand out by exhibiting the skills required to perform the job function covered by those certifications.
