Google has rolled out a new security feature which will give enterprise customers more control over apps online.

It has created a new Devices and Activity dashboard, which provides users a snapshot of all the devices that have accessed their Google accounts in the last 28 days.

If there is any suspicious activity found at the dashboard, users can immediately change passwords to ensure that the account is not compromised.

The security wizard can guide users in a step by step approach, suggesting what steps to take or adjustments to security features – like providing contact info for account recovery.

The tool can also prioritises all administrator settings for security features that end users are permitted to turn on, Google said.

Google for Work security director Eran Feigenbaum said in a blog post, "Security in the cloud is a shared responsibility and keeping your company information secure is at the core of what we do every day.

"By making users more aware of their security settings and the activity on their devices, we can work together to stay a step ahead of any bad guys."
