CSC has acquired privately held cyber threat intelligence firm Vulnerability Research Labs (VRL), in a move to strengthen its cybersecurity portfolio.
CSC said that the acquisition of VRL enables it to enhance its cybersecurity support to public and commercial enterprises by strengthening the ability to develop efficient tools and techniques.
The acquired business will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary within CSC’s global cybersecurity business reporting to CSC vice president and cyber lead executive Samuel Visner.
VRL president Jim Miller will continue to serve in this capacity for the business and direct its ongoing operations.
Visner said, VRL’s capabilities will enhance CSC’s cybersecurity offerings to clients in the financial services, energy and natural resources, healthcare, manufacturing, and technology and consumer markets, as well as the public sector.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
