Internet security software provider BitDefender has introduced next generation removal tools to help protect users from the current top malware threats and to stay safe online.
The tools can remove a wide variety of infections, ranging from Trojans and worms to rootkit-based malware.
They also feature a revamped interface that offers improved usability and aesthetics.
BitDefender Anti-malware Labs head Viorel Canja said users not running an anti-malware solution run a greater risk of getting infected.
"Furthermore, if they have already become victims, they might infect friends or unwillingly affect other computers connected to the Internet," Canja said.
"The recent publicity about TDL4 highlights the need to ensure you are protected, and these removal tools will go a long way to helping people do just that."
The removal tools are available for free download in a 64-bit version or 32-bit version.
