Almost 100 graduates are being sought by the cybersecurity department of defence firm BAE Systems, as the company seeks to capitalise on increasing interest in the market.
Two-thirds of those recruited in the past have had a background in a STEM subject, with graduate salaries beginning at £25,000 and offices located in London, Guildford, Leeds and Gloucester.
Scott McVicar, managing director of cybersecurity, at BAE, said: "High profile cyber-attacks continue to dominate the headlines and the continued growth of our business reflects that reality. Private and public sector organisations are calling for greater protection from criminal and politically motivated attacks.
"In light of this, we need to recruit growing numbers of bright, motivated individuals, particularly IT, engineering and physics graduates that will work with our experienced team to identify vulnerabilities and manage the threat effectively."
BAE is also seeking recruits for roles in its military aircraft, naval ships and services, submarine, electronics systems, and weapons departments around the country, with almost 300 vacancies needing to be filled next year.
