GEA Group, a system providers for food and energy processes globally, has signed an agreement with AT&T for cloud-based security services to improve its infrastructure security.

As part of the new agreement, AT&T will provide remote access for more than 13,000 users, managed security services and managed hosting services globally.

AT&T will provide managed security services to the company in the network cloud and via its "super" Internet Data Centre in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

AT&T has laid the foundation for GEA’s secure next generation network which is designed to integrate voice, video and data communications as well as for unified communications.

A consistent network platform is integral to unify the different business applications such as ERP or e-mail, to build a group-wide corporate directory, increase efficiency across the GEA organisation, to continuously improve the technology of their existing IT environment and to increase its efficiency.
