Data analytics company BeyondCore has been acquired by Salesforce for an undisclosed sum.
Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff tweeted his excitement about the deal, saying that the acquisition will enhance the AI capabilities of the company’s Analytics Cloud.
Earlier this year, BeyondCore showcased its Salesforce integration at the Gartner BI Summit, with BeyondCore CEO Arijit Sengupta saying in a blog post: “Business user after business user told us how wonderful it was that smart analytics was now embedded into an application they use every day. At this point, our two teams naturally started brainstorming what more we could do together.”
Working as part of Analytics Cloud, Sengupta explained the roadmap going forward, saying: “At Salesforce, BeyondCore will be uniquely positioned to further magnify our impact on the world of analytics as part of the Analytics Cloud, extending smart data discovery and advanced analytics capabilities across the entire Salesforce Customer Success Platform. Of course, we’ll continue to deliver our innovative technology to customers as part of Salesforce and deliver the same great service you’ve come to expect from us.”
Joining other recent Salesforce acquisitions such as Quip, Demandware and Coolan, the data analytics company will not immediately cease business under the brand name BeyondCore, with Sengupta pushing a free trial of its software in the same blog announcing the Salesforce acquisition.
