Nokia Networks has showcased some of its new technologies in the mobile broadband sector.

The technologies, which include 5G, telco cloud, security solutions and predictive marketing, are intended to enable operators to manage and monetise the increasing mobile broadband growth.

Using the Telco Cloud or VoLTE/ VoWiFi, a particular user can provide operator-controlled voice over Wi-Fi networks that can be used in offering indoor coverage if LTE/ 2G/ 3G is not present.

The company’s Nokia Mobile Guard features an analytics engine that listens and analyses the traffic for mobile broadband and identifies patterns which are in line with malware behaviour.

With the usage of Mobile Guard, operators can ensure a clean network with continuous monitoring and automated actions in case of fraud.

While showcasing 5G E2E, the company said 5G will be a set of technologies that supports wireless communication for mobile networks.

As part of 5G research, Nokia is partnering with several telecommunication operators like Korea’s SK Telecom and Japan’s NTT Docomo.

The Finnish company said the predictive services extend the use of big data insights to network element level, which identifies and resolves concerns.
