Netflix is now allowing users download some of its shows and movies on their mobile device at no additional cost to watch them offline.

The company’s subscribers will now be able to save select content to their iOS or Android devices, and then watch those later without an Internet connection.

Netflix director of product innovation Eddy Wu said: “While many members enjoy watching Netflix at home, we’ve often heard they also want to continue their Stranger Things binge while on airplanes and other places where Internet is expensive or limited.”

Once the users update to the latest version of Netflix on Android or iOS, a download button will appear next to the play button for shows that allow it.

Many of the company’s streaming series and movies are available for download, including originals like Stranger Things, Orange Is the New Black, and The Crown. Netflix said more downloadable titles are on the way.

The new feature is included in all Netflix plans and available for phones and tablets on Android and iOS.

Users need to update their Netflix app and see for an arrow symbol next to a title to indicate downloading.

If users are interested in browsing downloadable titles, they should select Available for Download from the Netflix menu.

Users have been waiting for a very long time to see offline viewing feature on Netflix. It is not the first streaming service to add the feature.

Amazon added offline viewing for Prime Instant Videos in September last year.

Netflix’s competitor Hulu, which does not yet offer offline viewing, said it is also working on the feature.
